It seems like the lockdowns and stand-offs of the pandemic have tended to push us apart. But as screen time has increased, climate activists have found new ways to connect with each other. At the “Branch Magazine Symposium” of the 2021 Ars Electronica Festival, Emma Richards of the Carbon Literacy Project, Anshuman Bapna of the online platform Terra.do, and David Jennings of the Rebellion Academy exchanged ideas about this. Author Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino led the virtual panel discussion and also once again posed the central question: does it actually make a difference to commit as an individual to tackle this huge task of stopping climate change?

This panel discussion was part of the online offerings of the 2021 Ars Electronica Festival. We’re posting a selection of them online here at the Ars Electronica Blog.
