Accompanied by visualizations by Cori O’Lan, Dennis Russell Davies first played “6 Etudes for Piano” (1994) and Maki Namekawa performed “Piano Sonata” (2019) compositions for one piano. The third part of the evening was dedicated to “Four Movements for Two Pianos” (2008), performed by both on two concert grand pianos simultaneously. The concert took place in cooperation with the Ruhr Piano Festival on January 31, 2022 and was broadcast live on the web.
