Bear feeding in Bio Lab

Yes, that’s right, we have bears at the Ars Electronica Center – lots of them, in fact! Our water bears, called tardigrades or tardigrades, are particularly interesting scientifically because they can cope with very adverse conditions. To survive in space, they don’t even need an astronaut suit. We naturally want to nurture these little animals with their superpowers so that they grow and thrive.
