The international “Earth Day” takes place annually on April 22 and aims to inspire our appreciation for the natural environment as well as reflection on our consumer behaviour. This year the theme is “Invest in Our Planet”. Following this motto, Deep Space 8K will host a series of impressive presentations on the theme of “Planet Earth” during this themed weekend.
On the evening of April 22 (starting at 6 PM), the premiere of Our Earths VR will take place. In this elaborately produced short film, we create the utopia of a human success story and take you on an immersive virtual reality experience in 3D, accompanied by an impressive soundtrack. Our Earths VR takes the audience on a virtual journey into a future where humanity has already solved all the major challenges we face today: Climate crisis, plastic mull islands in the oceans, exponentially growing resource exploitation, ever faster species extinction and loss of biodiversity, pandemics, an economic system based on infinite growth. How will the humanity of the future have prevented the collapse we face today?
