ChatGPT, Alexa & Co – our everyday interaction with artificially intelligent systems is constantly increasing. We talk to them, take recommendations from them or recently even have AI write texts. Research shows that we sometimes see quite a lot of humanity in our machine interaction partners – even when it’s not actually there. Why is that, and why does too much humanity in the machine sometimes make us uncomfortable? To what extent does artificial intelligence reflect old stereotypes and prejudices against groups of people? And why is it so important that intelligent machines make themselves more understandable to us humans in the future? Discuss these questions with Dr. Mara and gain insight into the current research work at the Robopsychology Lab at JKU.
