Biography

Elisabeth Luger studies Business Administration at the Johannes Kepler University with a focus on non-profit management. For her, classical business administration does not contradict the daily challenges that also the non-profit world has to face. Thus, Elisabeth began her professional career with the umbrella organization of SOS Children’s Villages International in Vienna in the field of financial and project controlling. Conduction of internal audits were also part of her job. In addition to her academic education, Elisabeth was enrolled in a payroll and a financial controlling course, which added practical skills to her training. For several years already, Elisabeth has been volunteering in various cultural and service orientated associations in Linz where she supports the organizations in their financial undertakings.

With this diverse background, Elisabeth is mainly responsible for the financial controlling tasks at the Ars Electronica Futurelab but also prepares financial statements for public grants. Since July 2018 she has been a part of the Ars Electronica Futurelab team. Another focus of her area of work is the regular reporting to the management team including the Ars Electronica advisory board.
