Space Ink combines Wacom’s pen and tablet technology with drones controlled by Ars Electronica Futurelab’s SwarmOS to envision a future where we can draw in any space with a pen. Space Ink is part of the Ars Electronica Futurelab’s Future Ink research, conducted between 2020 and 2022.
Fluxels is a play on words inspired by an association of Spaxels, “Fluxus” and the aesthetic quality of swift, fluid movement. It is the name for a ground robot platform developed in the Ars Electronica Futurelab, conceived for swarm bot performances as part of a collaboration with NTT.
Swarm Arena is the latest outcome of joint research efforts by the Ars Electronica Futurelab and Japanese telecommunications giant NTT. The collaboration started in 2017 with the aim to work on using unmanned aerial or ground vehicles (UAVs and UGVs) as a means of communication.
