To leave the Earth, rockets are used, which unfortunately are not really sustainable, let alone environmentally friendly. But space travel in particular also has the potential to encourage and support us humans to protect the environment. What technologies exist or could exist in the future to resolve this contradiction? What could sustainable, and perhaps even environmentally friendly, technologies look like that would enable us to travel to the moon or Mars in the future?
