As part of STWST48x6 MORE LESS, Stadtwerkstatt offers two guided excursions.
The first excursion leads to Kunstlager Nord in the north of Linz. Here Stadtwerkstatt collects art relics and documents from the 40 year history of the house – between media art, subculture and city history. Stadtwerkstatt was founded in 1979 and registered as an association in 1980. Not least because of this anniversary around the 40th anniversary, the archive and materials in the Kunstlager Nord have been newly examined and prepared for several years. The Kunstlager Nord will be opened for a few hours during this excursion.In addition, Versorgerin Archiv, Plakat Archiv material can be seen at two places in the STWST building: In the first floor foyer, all the covers of the newspaper Versorgerin were applied. And some Posters from events and historical posters of the STWST can be seen in the staircase to the event venue – a small excerpt from events of 40 years.STWST’s Archive/Art Storage North is located in the North of the City. Stadtwerkstatt has been an autonomous center of the Linz art and culture scene since 1979, running various projects and working tracks between art and cultural transformation.

Messschiff Eleonore – second excursion
The second excursion is to the measuring ship Eleonore, which anchors in the south of Linz in the Traun River. For more than ten years, STWST has been operating the Eleonore as an art ship and autonomous location on the periphery, as a research laboratory on the water, and as an isolation island and sink tank for artists and critical producers. The energy self-sufficient ship, on which residencies with art, information and water as reference take place, will be presented.
