Deep Space LIVE: Commemorative Plaques & Metal Sculpture. Monuments in Linz
Thursday, December 13, 2012 / 8-9 PM / Ars Electronica Center
(Linz, December 7, 2012) Visitors to the next Deep Space LIVE on Thursday, December 13th will be taking a virtual stroll through Linz. Cathrin Hermann of the Municipal Archive will screen jumbo-scale, high-definition projections showing prominent (as well as some little-known) monuments and places of commemoration in Linz. She’ll also provide some fascinating political and social background information about several of the memorials, and show which treasures from days gone by are still to be found in Linz today—for instance, the sundial in solarCity, the republic memorial near the Nibelungen Bridge, and market fountain in Ebelsberg.
