SAYION consists of three acts to describe the complexities of various generations: Search, Obsession, and Death. Lost in a maze and in pursuit amid a varicolored world, reality and fantasy shift and interweave to create a magical realm. With 720-degree VR positioning and a 3D real-time motion capture system responding to suspension equipment, dancers break free from the spatial limitations and frame of the stage. Brilliant colors captivate the audience, creating a unique sensory experience! During Japanese rule (WWII), Sayion's (17yr old TW Austronesian girl) death was manipulated and glorified with songs, paintings and movies to promote patriotism.

AMORE is an avant-garde production created to elevate the artistry of performing, conceptual, kinetic, digital, video, and abstract art. Paul Chiang's paintings are the foundation from which 3D animation techniques catalyze the art to life. Through the combination of intense piano repertoires, multimedia technology, contemporary and abstract moving art, diverse styles are revealed to present a dramatic music-based performing art that is a banquet for the senses. Of all the emotions, the most seductive and touching is Love. Love is my muse and is the most inspirational and greatest charm of all time.

Performance 'New Ritual'

'New Ritual' is a spiritual performance that combines Korean shamanic rhythms, traditional mask dance, and modern musical language to embrace humanity and heal the wounds of modern society. The performance has five sections and begins with an entry into an artistic spiritual trance through counterclockwise motion.

The documentary video features the journey of K-Arts X Ars Electronica Academy. The international creative academy had run in a non-face-to-face manner to strengthen the global capabilities of students from the Korean National University of Arts despite the limited movement between countries.

'Immersive Performance' is an online showcase to introduce the creation of the K-arts X Ars Electronica Academy, a creative education program run in cooperation with the Ars Electronica Export. Part 2. Immersive Performance is designed to experiment with a real-time Immersive Content creation process by attempting to merge virtual reality into performance.

Curated by composer and music educator Daniel Hutchinson, Stories We Told Ourselves is an online music series with new works in video format created in isolation by six outstanding artists: Reza Khota, Zorada Temmingh, Nicholas Aphane, Kyla-Rose Smith, Eugene Skeef, and Garth Erasmus. Through their works, the six participants reflect on the theme of isolation during the Covid-19 lockdowns, and the stories they told themselves to cope during this period. While the first three works showcase their improvisation approaches through the jazz guitar, pipe piano organ, and expressive dance, respectively, the latter three fuse original scores with photography, visual art and poetry.

What The Hunter Saw

The Abuja ARS Garden will also feature a premiere of What the Hunter Saw, a play by Makinde Adeniran, directed by Adesewo Fayaman Bay will be part of our offerings during the festival. Hunter Sho is the lead character in What the Hunter Saw, a character which depicts the personality of one of the world’s greatest literary giants of all time, Nigeria’s Professor Wole Soyinka.
