(Linz, 3.12.2019) Observe moon craters up close, examine the highest mountain of our solar system on Mars with the Olympus Mons or travel through the Milky Way at the speed of light: With the visualization software “Uniview”, planets, stars and galaxies are within reach in the Deep Space 8K of the Ars Electronica Center. At Deep Space LIVE, Thursday evening, December 5, 2019, Uniview and Linz astrophotographer Dietmar Hager will take you on a breathtaking 3D journey through the universe. The tour starts at 7 p.m.
Astrophotographer Dietmar Hager
Dietmar Hager is a doctor and astrophotographer. He has been involved in astrophotography for over 20 years and publishes photographs in international journals and textbooks. Since the beginning of 2011, he has been working for the Ars Electronica Center as an astronomical consultant.
Deep Space LIVE
Every Thursday, 7 p.m. (except public holidays), the Ars Electronica Center invites you to a Deep Space LIVE. High-resolution images in 16 by 9 meter format will be combined with expert commentary, entertaining double conferences and musical improvisation. Whether it’s art-historical tracing, space flight, a voyage of discovery into the nanoworld or a LIVE concert – Deep Space LIVE stands for enlightening entertainment amidst impressive visual worlds. Admission costs €3. With a valid museum ticket, the visit is free of charge.
