    „Digital Basic Education“ at Ars Electronica Center

    (Linz, April 24, 2024) Since the 2022/23 school year, the lower secondary school curricula have included a new subject: “Digital Basic Education” (Digitale Grundbildung). The Ars Electronica Center has responded with an adapted guided tour and workshop program for school classes – which is now being expanded.

For its residency part of European Digital Deal, Ars Electronica selected Martyna Marciniak.

    (Linz, 9.4.2024) A school year with a space mission: 10 teams qualified for the final (3-5 April 2024) of the seventh CanSat Austria competition in the 2023/24 school year and mastered the challenge of launching a functional mini-satellite. The team from the Gmunden Space Agency (BG BRG Gmunden) came out on top.

    (Linz, April 2, 2024) Changes to the Ars Electronica staff structure: Martin Honzik, Co-Managing Director of the Festival-Prix-Exhibitions division and Chief Curatorial Officer (CCO) of Ars Electronica, is leaving the company after more than 20 years. Veronika Liebl took over the position of sole Managing Director of the division on 1 April.
