European Space Camp 2023 – Review

For August 2023, one male and one female student between the ages of 17 and 20 will be selected to participate in the European Space Camp in northern Norway.

“The sky is not the limit, it’s where the fun begins!” – This is the motto of the European Space Camp, an annual one-week summer camp at the Andøya Space Center in northern Norway.

The next camp will take place in August 2023 (exact date to follow) and will offer 24 young adults the unique opportunity to spend six days performing various aspects of a real rocket campaign, including the launch itself. Throughout the week, there will be a series of lectures from some of Europe’s best scientists and engineers on a variety of topics from rocket physics to the northern lights.

Of course, the week will not only consist of group work and lectures – there will also be numerous social activities organized. Participants can look forward to a hike up the mountain to the ALOMAR research station, swimming under the midnight sun followed by a sauna, a volleyball game and a GPS challenge – all in the breathtaking surroundings of Andøya Space!
