Guided by a computer voice, in “Convergence” by Alexander Schubert, several musicians initially face a machine that scans them and creates and reveals its own new reality from the perceived information by means of artificial intelligence. The technically and aesthetically skillfully realized sound performance draws attention to the fact that in this interplay of perceptions – in this “give” and “take” in our communication – algorithms are also increasingly taking part and influencing us with their perceptions. It helps us to think more closely about our own identity in the digital age.
This project will be part of the CyberArts Exhibition at the OK in the OÖ Kulturquartier.
