It is with great sadness that we bid farewell to Christine Schöpf—a formative figure in media art and for all of us, without whom Ars Electronica would not be what it is today.
Her commitment, passion, and visionary power have played a decisive role in shaping media art over decades. For many artists, she was an inspiring companion and mentor on their journey.
Even though she had recently retired for health reasons, Christine’s work and life have left a lasting mark. We will miss her greatly.
