After a lengthy hiatus, Play the Façade (Fassadenspiel) is back at the Ars Electronica Center in Linz. With the newly designed terminal and web app, all visitors are invited to light up the 38,500 LEDs of the city’s landmark, send illuminated messages across the Danube and have a dance party with their favorite music.

The Fassadenspiel was developed by the Ars Electronica Futurelab, the artistic research and development lab located right next to museum and interaction terminal, through which Play the Façade can be accessed. You can find out all about the development and history of the Fassadenspiel on the Futurelab project page. Current opening hours can be found on the Ars Electronica Center’s Fassadenspiel page.
