Checklist for TOTAL RECALL – The Evolution

Only a few days are left until the start of TOTAL RECALL – The Evolution of Memory, and while the Festival-Team is busy with last-minute-preparations, there’s a couple of things that you can do as well. Check out which in this article!

Some things are still needed for WIR SIND HIER, the opening of Festival Ars Electronica 2013.

One thing to do is to record a poem by Berthold Brecht and become part of the User-Generated-Choir.

FM Einheit, composer of the event’s soundtrack, is looking for Sounds of Destruction.

Speaking of which: Old harddiscs, screens, discs are in high demand for the Sculpture that will be presented during the opening..

If you’re a friend of Vine, “Occupy History” is your thing: Compress history into 6 seconds and share them!

There’s an app for the voestalpine Klangwolke 2013 – Bruckner lebt!. Download it and practice, it’s not as simple as it looks!

You can prepare for other things than the opening as well. Ilan Green will be hold some workshops during IL(L) Machine, the Campus-Exhibition of TOTAL RECALL and wants you to bring 1 or 2 musical toys, noise-makers, Gameboys or synths, anything that makes a noise is more than welcome.

Also you can think about the future of live-entertainment to discuss it with artists and specialists during The Future Rock Show.

The Bee Hive is a new take on documenting a festival, not the perspective of one director matters, but the perspective of many. Prepare yourself to document TOTAL RECALL!

If you can provide a place to sleep (a couch is great), please share it on our website, there’s not many hotel-beds left in the city.

And last but not least it’s time to get your head around the Festival-Program and to plan your moves. There’s a lot to see.
