The Ars Electronica Playground at the Akademisches Gymnasium covered the projects of Ars Electronica Futurelab and Ars Electronica Solutions and moved them temporarily into the city. Thus, the Spaxels were presented inside the gym hall with their first public indoor flights.

Outside, in the courtyard of the Akademisches Gymnasium, the hustle and bustle of u19 – CREATE YOUR WORLD continued. At this year’s Festival for the young generation especially the topic of film was well represented. Many young people moved around with their video cameras, or made video experiments in the temporary film studios of the Akademisches Gymnasium.

But Saturday also was marked by the Prix Ars Electronica. While the projects of the winners were showed in the exhibition “CyberArts 2014” at OK im OÖ Kulturquartier, the winners and jury members met each other at the Prix Forums. The discussion of the Prix Category “Computer Animation / Film / VFX” started in the Deep Space of the Ars Electronica Center.

The conversations continued in the early afternoon during a talk about “Interactive Art”. Right next to the forum, the sofa of the Golden Nica winner Jacob Tonski still balanced on one leg.

Parallel to the Prix forum a very special video experiment got under way in the city center. The LipDub invited young and old to move through the shopping center Arkade and on the streets of the city of Linz accompanied by the sounds of the ABBA song “Take a Change on Me”. So a collective music video was created, recorded with different cameras by the participants themselves.
