Digital transformation (DX) is in the spotlight of public debate. The term is mostly seen in a management context but what does DX mean when it is no longer solely about efficiency and economic advantages, but rather about seeing the changes in society at large? Who benefits from the digital transformation? Who should own it? What will life be like afterwards?
Launched by Ars Electronica and Hakuhodo, Art Thinking Forum has been working together with members from the arts and business since 2014 to shape the future. Using innovative examples, it discusses the role of art in guiding our society through technological revolution. This online talk with Gerfried Stocker, Tim Browne and Hisashi Fujii – guest speakers from Ars Electronica and Hakuhodo Inc as important interfaces of collaboration between art and industry – was recorded in March at the Art Thinking Forum in Tokyo.
