Ars Electronica was represented at two of Festival de Mexico’s prime venues: the Laboratorio Arte Alameda, a former church that now provides an extraordinary setting for digital art, and the recently renovated Centro Cultural de España.

Ars Electronica’s “dynamic (in)position” exhibition contrasted current trends in digital art with selected works from its extensive archive. The show has been Ars Electronica’s most comprehensive engagement ever in Latin America. Major roles in making this happen were played by the Austrian Cultural Forum in Mexico, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Economy, Family and Youth and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber’s “go international” initiative.
