The festival started with a small creative community in Matsudo City, and the seeds planted in the first year sprouted in the second year, and in the third year, the festival has grown into a creative garden that spreads across the city. The legacy of innovation that started in the historic garden of Tojo, designed with cutting-edge technology at the time, has been passed down to the modern-day creators throughout the city.
The theme of this year’s festival was Garden of Creativity. The global pandemic has drastically changed our lives and society. We were forced to rethink our way of life, our society, and our relationship with nature. Artists and researchers around the world are working on global issues and questions with their creative ideas. Through exhibitions, workshops, and talks, we explored new ways of interacting with nature and discuss the future of education and society under the theme of Garden of Creativity.
