As visitors walk through the tunnel, Bora: Bora offers an immersive sound experience shaped by unstable air vortexes. The installation consists of 96 modified subwoofers housed in transparent enclosures, arranged along an aluminum tunnel. These speakers generate continuous air vortices, producing low-frequency sounds reminiscent of percussion instruments and a soundscape limited to high and low frequencies. It is unclear where the next air vortex will come from. Visitors are invited to embrace the invisible air currents and accept the unknown frequencies that permeate their bodies. The artist draws us into “Sensory Void,” a space that aims to reawaken our senses of hearing and touch— often overlooked in our visually dominant daily lives. The jury was impressed by this opportunity to experience sound art playfully in the open air, without any barriers to entry, and to perceive nature with a renewed sensuality.
