The International Bruckner Festival Linz 2025 will highlight the interplay between music and film from different angles during the ceremony. Works such as Strauss’ Also sprach Zarathustra, Mahler’s Adagietto and Schönberg’s Accompaniment will demonstrate how music is recontextualized by film. Rachel Portman’s Endangered and Bruckner’s “Jagd” Scherzo draw an arc from Oscar-winning film music to the cinematic power of the symphony. Jagoda Marinić will hold the keynote address.

Brucknerhaus Linz
Its location in the Danube Park, its timelessly elegant architecture designed by Finnish architects Heikki and Kaija Sirén and, above all, the excellent acoustics of its two halls make the Brucknerhaus in Linz one of the most attractive concert halls in the world. Since its opening in 1974, international classical music stars as well as young talents have performed here. With around 200 events a year, the house also presents jazz, world music, readings, and programs for children.
