Artist and stage designer Adi Anna Telezhynski presents False Gods, a two-part inflatable installation that explores the fragile intersection between fear, faith, and the symbols we create to feel safe. Outside, a towering Golem looms—a protective figure turned hollow idol—while inside, a flickering, iridescent Flame offers no salvation, only presence. Drawing from her lived experience between two countries fractured by war, Telezhynski reflects on what we build to protect ourselves, and what is lost in the process.
This Meet the Artist event takes place at Turm 20 on the Pöstlingberg—one of Linz’s 1830s Maximilian Towers, now revitalised as a cultural venue. Just a 25-minute walk from the Ars Electronica Centre, Turm 20 offers nature, history, and a magnificent view over the city. With a bar and a relaxed atmosphere, it’s a perfect spot to unwind, enjoy good company, and take in the scenery from above.

Turm 20 – Theater- und Kulturverein
Turm 20 (Cäcilia) at Kreuzweg 42, 4040 Linz, is a listed building that has been revitalized by the Turm 20 – Theater- und Kulturverein since 2021 with summer theater performances. If you’re in the mood for some nature and a spectacular view over Linz, you can reach it with a 25-minute walk from the Ars Electronica Centre, heading uphill to the Linz green belt on the Pöstlingberg. Turm 20 is one of over 30 defence towers built around Linz in the 1830s—but it never fulfilled its actual purpose due to rapid evolution of weaponry at the time. All the better, then, that Cäcilia can now dedicate herself entirely to the arts for the years to come. Art installation and bar open every Festival day from 14h to 20h.
