Social media shapes our everyday lives. Through our continuous online presence, we constantly consume and share content. This vast amount of data offers unprecedented insights into diverse areas such as disaster management, epidemiology, and disinformation processes that threaten democracy. This project visualizes these dynamics, promoting critical discourse at the intersection of AI technologies, social media, and democratic processes.

Bernd Resch
Bernd Resch is a Professor of GeoSocial AI at IT:U and a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University’s Center for Geographic Analysis. His research interest revolves around understanding cities as complex systems through analyzing a variety of digital data sources. The focus is on developing machine learning algorithms to analyze such human-generated data as social media posts, mobile phone data, and physiological measurements from wearable sensors.
