The LUM:ORA Manifesto

A common language for an inclusive society!

Christiane Steinlechner (AT), Isa Stein (AT)

The LUM:ORA Manifesto provides impetus for a common language that creates “visibility,” regardless of origin or social status.

The LUM:ORA Manifesto shows that language is universal.
Migratory movements often bring children and young adults to attend preschool and school without being able to communicate, because of cultural differences and the lack of a common language. They cannot build on their skills and fully develop their potential. Existing school systems are overwhelmed with realities, initiated innovations require time. Therefore, society is even more challenged to find common paths of togetherness and communication.

Language fosters inclusive education.
Language causes social cohesion.
Language impacts the future.
