    Christl Baur

    Christl Baur is the Head of the Ars Electronica Festival and an interdisciplinary researcher working at the intersection of art, science, and society. She has curated and co-produced numerous exhibitions and performances, including 40 Years of Humanizing Technology – Art, Technology, and Society in collaboration with CAFA and the Design Society in Shenzhen, China. Her expertise spans video art, new media, computer art, biotechnology, and interactive art, and she teaches at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria. Baur’s research and writing, published in outlets such as the Journal of Visual Art Practice, address topics from the preservation of bio art to intersections of media art and the art market. She is a frequent speaker at international conferences including ISEA and Montreal Digital Week, and serves on prestigious juries such as the NTU Global Digital Art Prize, the Global Creative Technology Design Award, and the German Federal Cultural Foundation.

    Veronika Liebl

    Veronika Liebl is currently Director of European Cooperation at Ars Electronica and Managing Director of the Festival/Prix/Exhibitions Department. She studied Economics and Business at Johannes Kepler University Linz (graduating in 2010), with study visits at Harvard University (USA) and the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), and has an interdisciplinary background in nonprofit and innovation management. Since 2011, she has been responsible for cultural management and European project development at Ars Electronica Linz and serves as a member of the Linz Cultural Advisory Board, the board of UNESCO City of Media Arts Linz, and the Content Innovation Council of The ARTS+ program at the Frankfurt Book Fair. For more than ten years, she has been involved in the programming and production of cooperative projects with partners from the arts, science, and industry. She leads Ars Electronica’s European cooperation projects in the fields of culture, research, and education, and in this capacity—together with her team—she has developed, initiated, and implemented numerous EU projects such as the STARTS Prize and the European ARTificial Intelligence Lab.
