Town Hall Meeting: Transcultural Collaboration and the Context of Asia

VH AWARD, Wendi Yan (CN), HEK (House of Electronic Arts), National Arts Council of Singapore

As the world becomes increasingly interconnected, transcultural collaboration has never been more essential. The VH AWARD, a platform dedicated to supporting emerging media artists engaged with the context of Asia, invites artists and institutions to foster transcultural dialogue. In this Town Hall Meeting, we will discuss how collaborative frameworks and partnerships explore the context of Asia in distinctive ways to embrace transcultural practices. Join us to share your insights and contribute to the ongoing conversation on the arts across cultural boundaries.

  • THE VH AWARD

The VH AWARD supports emerging media artists who engage with the context of Asia through an online residency program and exhibitions of commissioned works across various global platforms. Initiated in 2016, the VH AWARD has been discovering and cultivating promising artists to share their artistic experiments and amplify their voices on diverse issues. The award encourages artists who push the boundaries of audiovisual artworks to reflect on how we understand ourselves and one another in relation to the past, present and future. The VH AWARD is hosted by Hyundai Motor Group as a part of its commitment to supporting cross-cultural innovation and development.
