Partnership with the City of Oulu brings the new Deep Space VISIO to the Tiima Museum and Science Center

The City of Oulu has signed a framework agreement with Ars Electronica Solutions, officially strengthening their long-standing collaboration. A central goal of the agreement is to bring VISIO, another Deep Space by Ars Electronica, to Oulu and to continuously develop its content.
The partnership was announced at the Ars Electronica Festival during the Deep Space performance event Deep Space Community”, which showcased how institutions across Europe, Asia, and the Americas creatively adapt the Deep Space concept to their cultural contexts, forming a growing global network for immersive experiences and cultural exchange.

The new Deep Space VISIO is set to open in Autumn 2026 at the Tiima Museum and Science Center in Myllytulli, Oulu. This immersive, technologically advanced space is part of the internationally renowned Deep Space concept and brings this unique format to Finland for the first time.
VISIO opens doors to new cultural experiences and enhances Oulu’s international visibility. Together with Ars Electronica Solutions, we are boldly shaping our city as a city of the future.
Pekka Olsbo, Director of the Oulu Museum and Science Centre.
