This extraordinary dance & media performance innovatively integrates interactive sensor & tracking technology that enables the dancer to influence the visual and musical environment. In this production, 3D visualizations conjure up a fascinating mise-en-scène that is actually created by the dancer in real time. In accomplishing this, Apparition takes the interactive performance genre to a stunning new level and offers the audience an unforgettable cultural experience.
Apparition was developed by award-winning composer and media artist Klaus Obermaier in collaboration with the Ars Electronica Futurelab, and has been honored with several international prizes.
