Presentation Tool for the Living Planet Symposium in Prague

The ESA showcased itself and its projects at the 2016 Living Planet Symposium in Prague, where the centerpiece of their presentation was a modular jumbo picture wall created by Ars Electronica Solutions. The point of departure was the display hardware, an array of nine screens with a total resolution of 3,240 x 5,760 pixels. The control software developed by Ars Electronica Solutions makes it possible to display a wide variety of formats in various degrees of resolution and in three predefined modes:

Passive Mode: A preset arrangement of content is displayed on the wall.
Active Mode: A diverse array of content can be accessed and displayed interactively.
Presentation Mode: Additional content can be input via external data storage devices and displayed. Playing back PowerPoint presentations is made possible by external source feeds.

The basis for the optimal preparation of the data is the Geostage system developed by Ars Electronica and expanded for use in this setting with a Twitter & event photo function. This Powerwall is operated via a wireless controller.

The event was held in Prague, Czech Republic from 9-13 May 2016 and was organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic and the local support from Charles University in Prague.
