YĆkai are a class of supernatural beings and spirits in Japanese folklore. They are often described with special abilities, with the power of transformation being the most
commonly attributed trait. YĆkai explain inexplicable, mysterious occurrences and phenomena in peopleâs daily lives â from strange noises to mysterious figures.
This year, an illustrious delegation of YĆkai is visiting the Ars Electronica Festival in Linz. They have heard that there are many interesting digital spirits here, which they find very exciting and fascinating. However, YĆkai do not stay in hotels; they prefer very special places in the human environment or hidden spots in nature.
Visitors were able to discover their favorite spots in Linz and the surrounding area and learn more about their unique characteristics and preferences.
