An Ode to a Fading City is an animation short film that follows a little mouse on a journey through the abandoned streets of a decaying city. The film was created through a collaboration between human creativity and artificial intelligence, where AI acted as a co-creator and took on a range of tasks. By embracing this interaction, the film challenges the conventional creative process. It’s an exploration of the possibilities that arise when human imagination meets the capabilities of AI.

Juliette Schminke is a Berlin-based designer and illustrator specializing in motion design and illustration, with a major interest in visual storytelling and exploring new technologies. She is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in communication design at HTW Berlin and will continue her education at Film University Babelsberg.
