one sheep

Nanaha Yamada (JP)

Based on the theme of coexistence between sheep and humans, I made clothes using the hair of a single live sheep by the name of “Sako”. The yarn is woven by hand while keeping in mind the thickness and twist of the thread, and the difference in softness depends on the part of the wool. Inspired by traditional Hungarian clothing, where ancient sheep breeds still live, the design pays tribute to the sheep. The end of the thread at the end of knitting is dyed red, so it can be unwound and knitted into a new garment. This is one sheep.
