Stitch by Stitch

Naima Almajdobah (JO)

Stitch By Stitch is designed to experience, translate and spread the rich visual culture and diversity of traditional Palestinian textile patterns using modern techniques and mediums including visual communication and sonification. With the aim to preserve the Palestinian culture, traditions and customs, the project is divided into three distinct yet interconnected phases: experience, translation and dissemination – connecting the past and the future and acting as a bridge between both.

She focuses on her culture and mixes it with contemporary mediums and technologies to preserve, shed light and educate audiences on the lost crafts that once existed.
