“Oceans in Transformation” emerged from a three-year, interdisciplinary, large-scale research project on the state of the oceans. John Palmesino and Ann-Sofi Rönnskog’s Territorial Agency has gathered and linked images and data that are usually rarely connected. They unmistakably reveal our impact on the oceans while introducing us to what is ultimately at stake. “Oceans in Transformation” is awarded the European Commission’s STARTS Prize 2021 for this work.
The Projects “Remix el Barrio, Food Waste Biomaterial Makers” and “Oceans in Transformation” are the winners of “STARTS Prize” and will be featured in the Kepler’s garden at JKU Campus.
The STARTS Prize has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 956603.
