Science and technology bring a new sense of humanity – from the possibilities of life science and brain science to artificial intelligence and artificial life as well as robotics. To create dialogue and meaning to these hints of a new sense of life, art is needed. So the Ars Electronica Futurelab invited experts from different fields to deepen the discussion on the “Humanity of the Future” at the Futurelab Day of the Ars Electronica Festival 2022.

Futurelab Co-Director Hideaki Ogawa led the symposium with artistic research duo Guy Ben-Ary and Nathan John Thompson (AU), researcher Kasia Chmielinski (US), robotics specialist Hiroshi Ishiguro (JP), developer Akane Kikuchi (JP), robopsychology professor Martina Mara (AT) as well as researcher and artist Sarah Newman (US).
