That's why we are so fascinated by technology

We experiment, develop and tell stories with technology. The first part of Ars Electronica's 2022 Year in Review shows how.

Virtual Christmas

The Christmas story is probably one of the best known and most frequently recited stories in the world. It is not only the story of biblical expectations for the future, but also the story of the origin of our society. This year, it's becoming virtual reality in the crypt of the Mariendom in Linz and in Deep Space 8K at the Ars Electronica Center.

“Technology is nothing without the human intention behind it”

Claire B, one of the two artists behind the exhibition Mirages & miracles, talks in this interview about technologies, stones, poetics and the relationship between these elements. The new exhibition at the Ars Electronica Center opened on June 25 and continues until March 2020.
