The Austria-wide education award "Klasse! Lernen" honors pupils and teachers who integrate digital tools creatively and sustainably into the classroom. We took a closer look at the main prize and the two Awards of Distinction.

“Technology will be part of the solution”
Shortly before Christmas, Katharina Hof, cultural mediator at the Ars Electronica Center, gave a lecture entitled "Anatomy of an AI System" to roughly 500 students at the HTL Neufelden. How it happened and what the lecture was about was revealed to us by the school's director, Walter Jungwirth.

Space to think: Ars Electronica Art Thinking School
“Art Thinking is not a methodology, but an attitude”, says Ars Electronica Futurelab curator and key researcher Hideaki Ogawa. As such, Art Thinking can be cultivated – which is precisely the aim of the new initiative Art Thinking School, premiering at the 2019 Ars Electronica Festival.

Feel young again? The Family Days at the Ars Electronica Center offer adults a mental rejuvenation cure through a fresh, young approach to current topics and give children and teenagers the freedom to breathe life into Artificial Intelligence with pleasure and in the self-experiment.

Discussions about the Future in the School of the Future
School of the Future creates the setting for discussions about technology, society and art right in the middle of Tokyo. The format consists of a regular series of temporary exhibitions and round-table discussions that the Ars Electronica Futurelab stages in the Tokyo Midtown complex in the heart of Japan’s megalopolis.
