Artificial Senses

Kim Albrecht (DE)

In Artificial Senses, the unprocessed sensory data of the machines that surround us is given a live visualization.

This is supposed to develop an understanding of how machines “experience” the world. Machine learning and artificial intelligence are not mere slogans of the present day; they influence our behavior as well as our idea of technologies and/or the world that they represent. However, the interfaces of the machines are configured in such a way that the outputs are similar to our familiar world. But doesn’t it make sense to look behind the scenes of these digital “species” which we have put into the world, to understand how to deal with them?
