It is the largest circle map of the Middle Ages. Although it was destroyed in the Second World War, it could be saved for posterity thanks to photographic recordings.
The Ebstorf world map, named after the place where it was found in Germany, is a reflection of the medieval view of the world and the largest world map from this period. With Jerusalem at the center, the map also includes Africa, Asia and Europe. At the Deep Space you can see all of the numerous details magnified to several meters.
