Current 3D printing technologies are not widely used in manufacturing because they lack three key characteristics: speed, size, and the use of industrial materials. Liquid to Air and Rapid Liquid Printing propose a new technology where objects are printed in three-dimensional space in a gel-like substance. This method can produce full-size furniture within a few minutes. This process also makes it possible to print with genuine industrial materials such as rubber, foam, synthetic materials, or other liquid materials. The eventual goal is to create a way to produce large-scale, high-quality products quickly and give customers a free hand in designing them.
