Using Cinematic Rendering to study the nerve fibers in the brain as well as the causes and progress of multiple sclerosis.

Cinematic Rendering creates photorealistic, three-dimensional representations of the human body based on data from computer imaging and magnetic resonance imaging, with a level of plasticity never seen before. Currently, the value added by the technology in different fields is being investigated in various studies. For example, the Brain Research Imaging Centre at Cardiff University in Wales is using Cinematic Rendering to study the nerve fibers in the brain as well as the causes and progress of multiple sclerosis. The aim is to use the representation of the nerve fibers and the existing damage to draw conclusions about expected impairments due to multiple sclerosis.
