Ars Electronica Center

Heritage Day is Austria’s contribution to the Europe-wide initiative European Heritage Days, which is sponsored by the Council of Europe and the European Union. Since 1998, it has been coordinated annually by the Federal Monuments Office throughout Austria on the last Sunday in September.

ESERO Austria has been active at the Ars Electronica Center in Linz since 2016 on behalf of ESA and the Austrian Research Promotion Agency FFG. As part of World Space Week, ESERO invites visitors to spend a whole weekend on a journey of discovery into the depths of space.

As a music festival in the UNESCO City of Media Arts Linz, STREAM presents current music and pop culture in the context of digitalization. The STREAM FESTIVAL is a dynamic music format that shows its mutability at the pulse of time in every edition.

How does direct interaction with the brain work? On Saturday, April 25, and Sunday, April 26, the program at the Ars Electronica Center will focus on neurotechnologies. In addition to a panel discussion, workshops, presentations and live demonstrations await you.

To mark International Women’s Day 2025, the Ars Electronica Center is also setting an example and taking part in the public discourse. With works by women in media art and a performance programme in Deep Space 8K, it is putting the spotlight on women on March 8.
