Under the direction of Dawid Liftinger, the façade of the Ars Electronica Center became a source of inspiration for the young people taking part in the ANIMATE THE FACADE workshop at the Kinderuni at the FH Wels, the VHS Linz and the FH Hagenberg.
Using simple digital tools, they first drew individual frames that were then put together to create a stop-motion animation. The content of the resulting animations for the media façade is inspired by the technology itself, the concept of PublicArt and the question “What do I want to communicate to Linz or the world?”.
Jonathan makes fish swim across the Ars Electronica Center, reflected in the Danube. Leo creates a chain reaction of stars exploding. Mari’s snail slowly leaves a trail of slime on the ground. And Leon transforms the façade into a colorful display.
