Locals around Lake Traunsee can enjoy modern mountain biking wherever, whenever and however they want – they are just not allowed to, as there is a lack of suitable and legal infrastructure. In mid-2023, civil society began to address this issue between Gmunden, Altmünser and Ebensee. Committed bikers set a development process in motion that focuses on the needs of the local population.
