EYES is series of experiments with kinetic sculptures.
What essential element enables a sculpture to evoke empathy? What causes observers to have a certain feeling and emotion about an object? Using a highly simplified, illustrated eye shape and an uncomplicated kinetic mechanism, sculptures literally come to life here. They are animated – they receive an “anima,” a soul. At the same time, the series is also about not taking art too seriously and approaching it with a sense of humor.
