The fashion industry must fundamentally change to meet future standards of sustainability and ethics. The goal is to overcome the negative impact on the environment and society.

The FASHION FRONTIER PROGRAM project, initiated by Yuima Nakazato, aims to drive this change. It offers an innovative training environment for aspiring fashion designers, encouraging them to create garments that combine social responsibility with creativity. The FASHION FRONTIER PROGRAM provides materials and support from technical advisors and experts in various fields.

Circular Creativity

To show how the industry can work more sustainably to curb climate change, innovative ideas such as those of Japanese fashion designer Yuima Nakazato were presented in the Transformation Lounge at the Ars Electronica Festival 2023. With his clothing, Yuima Nakazato creates a balance between craftsmanship and technology and develops approaches that could reduce the fashion industry’s environmental impact.
