Fridays for Future is a global movement of students who support climate protection.
The movement was initiated by Swedish schoolgirl and climate activist Greta Thunberg. Her school strikes call for a commitment to the climate goals of the 2015 Paris Agreement. They set off worldwide protests organized by students, which always take place on Fridays during school hours. Seeking to ensure a world that future generations can thrive in, the activists’ central demand is for political leaders to fi nally take action on climate policy.
